Candle Internet Application

Candle Australia is a very large recruiter that matches jobs with candidates and decided to bring the existing database functionality provided by a third party in-house using an ASP.NET 2.0 website developed with a SQL Server back-end. The system allows candidates to serach for jobs, register and submit job applications, and manage different profiles for different positions and the associated different skills. Nightly emails provide candidates with notification of new jobs through the Job Genie service. The system was also designed to maintain compatibility with the existing in-house candidate and job management system.

The Sydney Mozart Society, founded by in 1950 by David Worobin OAM, presents a season of six world-class chamber music concerts. Sydney Mozart Society operates on not-for-profit, member-funded and member-volunteer lines. Both members and the general public are able to enjoy world standard performances at remarkably low cost.

Buckton Lysenko required a system for adding additional fields to email messages on Microsoft Exchange Server from within Microsoft Outlook. Custom forms were considered, but they were found to be too unreliable when used with Outlook 2003, as they are no longer officially supported by Microsoft, and they were also incompatible with GFI FaxMaker software. Quantum Software Solutions developed a .NET COM add-in using C# to allow inbound messages to be manually tagged, and to force all outbound messages to be tagged. Internal emails are automatically detected and the system is fully compatible with GFI FaxMaker and Outlook 2003. The interface also supports Windows XP themes.

Bolder Boulder — Competitor Results Search

The Bolder Boulder is one of the largest road races in the world. The race attracts more than 50,000 runners and walkers and draws professional athletes from all over the world to compete for one of the largest non-marathon prize purses in road racing. A high performance ASP.NET database system was required to track the details of competitors, replacing the existing ColdFusion system. The database, originally designed in Microsoft Access, was optimized for SQL Server by Quantum Software Solutions, and now contains over 400,000 records.

The Brew Hut — Feedback System

The Brew Hut required an efficient system for collecting feedback from customers. Quantum Software Solutions developed an ASP.NET system with a SQL Server backend to integrate with their existing website.

The School of Music & Music Education at The University of New South Wales offers both undegraduate and graduate programs in Music and Music Education, which are designed to give students an in-depth insight into the theoretical and practical aspects of music whilst maintaining a flexibility that recognises students' different interests and backgrounds. Graduates of the School are presently employed in a variety different fields where the discipline and skills necessary to study music are in demand. Quantum Software Solutions developed a new website for the school to convey a more professional image.

Sutherland Catalogue — Access Database

A Microsoft Access database was required to collect information for a PhD research project. The database is the first complete catalogue of the works of Australian composer Margaret Sutherland. The database required sophistocated searching capabilities, an easy-to-use data entry system, printed reports and CD-ROM distribution. Developed with Access 2003, it is compatible with Access 2000 and above. Challenges included displaying multiple simultaneous search results and cleaning up existing data to the client's specifications.

Hot Ginger is a unique design concept producing oil paintings on canvas. Painted by Fine Arts graduates under the creative direction of Sandra Draper and Dallas Rivers, these contemporary paintings are beautifully executed. Themes depicted include colourful images, still life, antique oriental objects, Buddhas, exotic flowers and some Pop Art images, etc, ranging from small, medium to huge!

Quantum Software Solutions set up an ASP.NET website to display Hot Ginger's magnificent artwork. The site includes a built-in content management system with an Access Database to allow new images to be easily uploaded.
